Moving Forward in Faith

Letting Go

 🔥🕊️✝️ Moving Forward with Faith

Dear Beloved,

The Bible is clear about the importance of moving forward and never looking back. This principle applies to every aspect of our lives—whether it's an old job, a past relationship, a former friendship, or habits that God has already delivered us from.

In Luke 17:32, Jesus gives us a simple yet profound warning: "Remember Lot's wife." Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back to her past when God had commanded her to move forward. She became stuck, forever frozen in time as a result of her disobedience and attachment to what God was trying to remove from her life.

God wants us to move forward and not to be anchored by our past. As Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13-14, "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." We must keep our eyes on the path ahead, trusting in God's plan and provision.

When you find yourself tempted to look back or return to old patterns, remember that God has greater things in store for you and a purpose you have been called to fulfill. The past is a place of learning, not living. Don’t allow yourself to become "stuck in time" like Lot's wife. Instead, embrace the new things God is doing in your life (Isaiah 43:18-19).

A Prayer for Moving Forward:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your guidance, Love and Mercy. Thank You Lord Jesus for leading me into a future filled with hope, growth and purpose. Thank You Father for finishing the good works you have begun in and through me. When I’m tempted to look back at what You’ve delivered me from, remind me of Lot's wife and the consequences of longing for the past, Your Word says that You will always make a way out for us. Help me, Father God, to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, as You are the author and finisher of my Faith. May Your Holy Spirit continually nudge me forward, trusting in Your plans for my life. Thank You Lord for bringing to fruition Your plan and will for my life and in abundance! In Jesus’ Holy and Mighty name I pray, Amen and Amen!

In His Love and Grace,

Your sister in Christ Jesus,

Jeannie Walker
