Raised to Life: From Dead Works to Divine Purpose: Ephesians 2 (NKJV) with

There comes a moment in every believer’s walk where the Holy Spirit opens our eyes and reveals His purpose in and for our lives — and suddenly, we see the magnitude of God’s grace and mercy. It’s like a light shining into the dark places of our past, reminding us that we didn’t bring ourselves this far… but the grace, mercy, love and protection of our Savior Jesus did.

✝️🔥⚔️ Ephesians 2 paints that picture so clearly. It reminds us of who we were before Christ Jesus and who we are now because of Him. 🔥👑🙌🏼✝️

“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world… among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh.” — Ephesians 2:1–3 (NKJV)

✝️ Before Jesus, we were spiritually dead in sin — not weak, not lost, but spiritually dead. We were walking through this life without true light of the Holy Spirit inside us, due to the sin(s) separating us from the presence of God and kept us enslaved to the patterns of this world. 

But then, two of the most beautiful words in all of Scripture changed everything:

✝️🔥⚔️ “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ Jesus (by grace you have been saved).” — Ephesians 2:4–5 (NKJV)

🔥✝️⚔️ BUT GOD ⚔️✝️🔥

Those words are the turning point of every testimony. You were broken — but God healed you. You were ashamed — but God covered you and freed you from guilt and shame. You were lost — but God found and saved you!!! 🥹🙌🏼🔥♥️🙏🏼♥️🔥 

His mercy, strength and grace stepped in where our strength ran out. His love reached into the grave of our sin and called us to life, just as Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb. That’s what grace does — it awakens what’s dead and transforms it into something that glorifies God.

Grace isn’t a reward; it’s a rescue.

It isn’t earned; it’s received.

✝️🔥⚔️“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (NKJV)

When we truly understand this, everything changes. We stop striving for God’s approval and begin living from His acceptance. We stop performing for love and start resting in His love and mercy. We move from trying to earn righteousness to walking in the righteousness Christ Jesus already purchased for us on the cross at Calvery.

✝️🔥⚔️“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

Through Jesus, you are no longer identified by your past — you are defined by His purpose. You are His workmanship, His masterpiece, crafted with intention and divine design.

✝️🔥⚔️“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

That means nothing in your life is wasted — not the pain, the trials, not the rejection or abandonment, not the wilderness. God weaves His divine plans into every thread of His redemptive plan.

He didn’t just save you from something — He saved you for something powerful!! He raised you up so you could walk in divine purpose and reflect His glory in a dark world that desperately needs His light. ❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥

Reflection:

Pause for a moment and think about what God has raised you out of, gotten your through, and healed you from…

Think about the mercy that met you when you least deserved it.

🔥Where there was once death, now there is life.

🔥Where there was shame, now there is grace.

🔥Where there was striving, now there is rest in Christ.

You are no longer a product of your past — you are a vessel of His mercy, created whole and made new through the resurrection power of the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit! ❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🔥♥️🙏🏼♥️🔥⚔️🩸🛡️👑

You carry His presence wherever you go. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of you 🔥✝️⚔️(Romans 8:11).

So, walk boldly brothers and sisters in Christ. Not in your own strength, but in His. ✝️🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥👑🥰⚔️🩸🛡️🔥♥️🙏🏼♥️🔥👑

You have been raised to life — not to go back to dead works, but to walk in divine purpose for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Call to Action:

🔥🤓❤️‍🔥 Today, I challenge you to take inventory of your spiritual walk…

✍🏼🤓📝Ask yourself:

• Am I ~ living from God’s grace and love or striving for approval from man?

• Am I ~ striving to walk in/or walking in my identity as God’s workmanship?

• Am I ~ standing in the authority of Christ Jesus and in the dominion of my calling given to me to glorify Him?

If you’ve been weary and battling or feeling distant from the presence of the Holy Spirit, come back to the simplicity of the Gospel, the Holy Word of God ✝️— Jesus’ mighty presence and miracles are expressed when declaring the Word of God boldly aloud in Faith.

Return to that “But God” moment and let it reignite your passion.

Lift your hands and say, “Lord, thank You for raising me from death to life. I receive Your love, grace, mercy and the peace of God to abound me again today.” 🙌🏼✝️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥🔥♥️🙏🏼♥️🔥

And if you’ve never truly surrendered your life to Jesus, this is your moment.🥹🥰🙌🏼🕊️❤️‍🔥🕊️❤️‍🔥✝️👑

He’s not waiting for you to be perfect — He’s waiting for you to surrender to His calling on your heart and life.

Powerful Prayer of Renewal and Surrender:

Heavenly Father,

I come before You humbled and grateful. Thank You for Your mercy that found me when I was far from You Father God. Thank You for sending Jesus to save my life eternally, by the shedding of His precious blood for my salvation and raising me to life in Him!!!

Lord Jesus, I repent for every time I’ve tried to earn what You freely gave me. I lay down striving and step into rest. Wash me in Your Word Heavenly Father, renew my mind, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

I declare that I am Your workmanship — created in Christ Jesus for good works You prepared for me before the foundation of the world. Strengthen my heart Lord Jesus to walk in obedience and discernment to bring Your light into every dark place I go.

Jesus, be glorified in and through my life. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit. Let everything I think, say and do reflect Your heart Lord Jesus, through grace, love and mercy that saved me.

✨Closing Words:

You were raised to life for a reason.

God didn’t just rescue you — He redeemed you to reveal His power through your testimony and declaring the word of the Lord through how He moved on your behalf. ✍🏼✝️🙌🏼🔥♥️🙏🏼♥️🔥

So walk in confidence today, knowing that His grace is your foundation, His Spirit is your strength, and His love is your identity.
